MIKE LINDUP
Mike Lindup is a highly renowned musician, best known as the keyboard-player, as well as a songwriter, in Level 42, which
he co-founded 45 years-ago, in late 1979. The band's sound can be described as a mixture of jazz funk with pop and Mike
has frequently provided falsetto vocals for harmonies and choruses. They had nine top 40 studio albums and twenty hit
singles, such as Lessons in Love, Something About You, The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up) and Running in the Family. Released in
1986, Lessons in Love was their biggest single, a hit worldwide, reaching number one in Denmark, Germany and
Switzerland. An acclaimed live act, Level 42 still perform all over the world.
Mike started composing aged 3 and took piano lessons from the age of 6, later singing in various choirs, before graduatng
at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 1989, while Level 42 took a year off, he recorded his first solo album,
Changes, whch was released in 1990. 30 years-ago, he began to diversify, exploring different musical styles, including
working with the bands Negrocan and Da Lata. Mike continued with his own solo material, releasing more albums, and
rejoined Level 42 in 2006.

HUGH PADGHAM
Hugh Padgham is one of the UK's most renowned record producers. He has played a part in the making of many of the
eighties' biggest albums and singles, including for artists such as Phil Collins, Genesis, The Police and Sting, as well as
David Bowie, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. He produced five of Collins' albums and many of his singles, including In the Air
Tonight and Sussudio. For The Police, the classics Every Breath You Take, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic and Sting's Fields
of Gold. Hugh produced much of Genesis' music, including the huge album Invisible Touch and earlier songs such as Mama
and That's All. David Bowie's 1984 album, Tonight, which features Blue Jean and Loving the Alien, he also was the producer
of.
His career has also included production on output from XTC, such as for Senses Working Overtime, Human League,
including Louise, Paul McCartney, producing his 1986 album, Press to Play, engineering Peter Gabriel's third album, as well
as co-engineering Kate Bush's The Dreaming. Hugh later worked with McFly, producing four number one singles for the
band.

CHRIS DIFFORD
Chris Difford is among Britain's most respected songwriters and a musician, best known for the band Squeeze. Formed 50
years-ago, in 1974, their highly popular songs include Up the Junction, Cool for Cats and Labelled with Love and Tempted,
written with main vocalist, Glenn Tilbrook. As well as his work with Squeeze, he has maintained a solo career, releasing
eight solo albums, between 2003 and 2018. Chris has written lyrics for Elton John, Elvis Costello and Jools Holland, among
others. Since 2014, he has been running the annual Chris Difford Songwriting Retreat, an opportunity for artists to
collaborate with each other. He hosted a podcast series, I Never Thought It Would Happen, with the charity Help Musicians.
2017 saw the publication of his acclaimed autobiography, Some Fantastic Place: My Life In and Out of Squeeze. Chris has

CHRIS SPEDDING
Chris Spedding is a renowned guitarist and a producer, best known for his session work. An in-demand musician, he has
played on countless records by a wide variety of artists, such as Nilsson, Elton John, Roxy Music, Brian Eno, such as his
debut album, and Katie Melua. He was the producer of the first Sex Pistols' demos, including Pretty Vacant, later on the
Never Mind the Bollocks album. Chris also featured on hits by the likes of Joan Armatrading and David Essex. He played on
the original album of Jesus Christ Superstar and Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. Chris has been on the
tours of the classic album and will be in 2025. He has toured with Velvet Underground founder John Cale, the Pretenders
and others. With writer and producer Mike Batt, he recorded on The Wombles' hits and featured on Mike's Bright Eyes in
1979', sung by Art Garfunkel in the Watership Down film. Chris has released fourteen studio albums and many singles,
including Motor Bikin', a 1975 hit, later recorded by Billy Idol.

JANE HORROCKS
Jane Horrocks is a renowned and beloved actress known for a variety of roles onscreen and the stage. She gained fame
for Absolutely Fabulous, as Bubble in over thirty episodes, and the film of Little Voice. Other TV appearances include the
drama series' COBRA and The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, and the comedies Trollied and Bloods. She also had roles in episodes
of Red Dwarf, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries and Jim Henson's The Storyteller. Jane has appeared in films such as Sunshine on
Leith, Mike Leigh's Life is Sweet and The Witches, directed by Nicolas Roeg. For the lead in Little Voice, she gained acclaim and
award nominations, such as for a BAFTA and a Golden Globe. In 1993, she was Olivier Award-nominated for the title role
in the play The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, which became the film. It was written for her by Jim Cartwright, due to her ability
at mimicking singers such as Judy Garland and Shirley Bassey. Jane made numerous other stage appearances, including
more recently, The Birthday Party in the summer of 2024.
In the 2009 BBC TV film, Gracie!, she played the singer Gracie Fields and also starred as Sally Bowles in a TV version of
Cabaret, directed by Sam Mendes, broadcast in 1993. She has provided voices for children's series' such as The Rubbish
World of Dave Spud, Teletubbies from 2015, Little Princess, as well as the 1999 Watership Down TV series and the animated
comedy Crapston Villas. Jane also voiced Babs in the Chicken Run films and characters in Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.
SAMMY SHELDON DIFFER
Sammy Sheldon Differ is a three-time BAFTA-nominated costume designer. Her work includes cinema releases based on
comic books, such as the Ant-Man and Kick-Ass films, V for Vendetta, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, X-Men: First Class and
Kraven the Hunter, out in December 2024. She also worked on the acclaimed science fiction drama Ex Machina, The
Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Green Zone, directed by Paul Greengrass, Kenneth Branagh's A Haunting in
Venice and the 2007 popular fantasy Stardust. Others that Sammy was the costume designer for include Kinky Boots and
the film of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, both released in 2005. She also designed the costumes for two Jurassic Park
films, including 2025's Rebirth,
Her earliest film work includes Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down and she was the assistant costume designer on Gladiator.
Before working in film, Sammy completed two national tours with the Royal Exchanges’ touring theatre and one with the
Royal Shakespeare Company as their wardrobe mistress. She went on to design costumes for music videos featuring
artists such as Pulp, Jamiroquai, Jamelia, Beverly Knight, Eternal and Franz Ferdinand. Sammy received BAFTA nominations
for The Imitation Game, The Merchant of Venice, which starred Al Pacino, and a TV series of The Canterbury Tales.

ANDY DUNLOP
Andy Dunlop is the lead guitarist of the band Travis and has written several songs for them, singing on some. They have
had eighteen top 40 singles and eleven hit albums; their second, The Man Who, was released in 1999 and became that
year's biggest seller. Travis's follow-up, The Iinvisible Band, also highly successful, was produced, as was their previous
album, by Nigel Godrich, best known for working with Radiohead. Their most well known hit songs include Turn, Driftwood,
Why Does It Always Rain on Me?, Coming Around and Sing. The band's tenth album, L.A. Times, was released in the summer
of 2024. Between 1998 and 2002, they were nominated for eight Brit Awards, winning three.
Travis were formed while Andy studied at The Glasgow School of Art from 1989-93 with singer Fran Healy. He continued
creating artwork, painting and drawing in later years under the name Elfi, although much of his time had certainly been
taken up with the band. During lockdown, in 2001, Andy illustrated a travel and vegan cookery book for children, The
Adventures of Chef Animo and Granny Vegano.

CHRIS PORTER
Chris Porter has been a record producer, engineer and a writer for over 40 years. Having worked with a wide range of
artists, he is perhaps most known for his rather long association with George Michael. His closest collaborator in the
studio for some years, Chris engineered Wham!'s Make it Big album, through to George's third, Older, and hit singles such
as Last Christmas, among many more.
Early in his career, he sang backing vocals on David Bowie's Scary Monsters album, before co-producing hits for soul band
Lynx. Among the artists produced by him were Take That, including Back for Good, Aswad, including their number one,
Don't Turn Around, and Living in a Box; their 1989 top 5 hit, Room in Your Heart. Chris also produced Jive Talkin', the Bee
Gees cover by Boogie Box High, with George Michael on lead vocals. He was a co-producer on Pet Shop Boys' sixth album,
Bilingual, including the hit single Se a vida é (That's the Way Life Is) and The Verve's classic, Urban Hymns. Chris also worked
with artists such as Elton John, Elaine Paige, Tina Turner, Cliff Richard, King Crimson, on some live albums, and Chris De
Burgh,

WALTER MURCH
Walter Murch is a much respected film and sound editor, writer, director and a sound designer. His editing work includes
Apocalypse Now, The Godfather Part III, Ghost, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The English Patient and First Knight, starring Sean
Connery and Richard Gere. He was the re-recording sound mixer for many of the films he edited, including the above.
Walter played a key part in the sound for Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation, including being its sound editor. His
career in this area began on the director's 1969 film, The Rain People and notable work as a sound designer includes
Coppola's The Godfather Part II and Apocalypse Now. He was the first ever person credited in film as a sound designer, for
the 1979 Vietnam war epic, which Walter won the first of three Oscars for and is the only winner for both sound and film
editing. In the early seventies, he provided the distinctive sound montages for George Lucas's first two features, THX: 1138
and American Graffiti and wrote the screenplay for the former with Lucas.
Other films he was the editor of include Cold Mountain, the third of three Walter worked on with director Anthony
Minghella, 1977's Julia, starring Jane Fonda and Vanessa Redgrave, and Jarhead, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal. Walter co-
wrote and directed the 1985 fantasy Return to Oz, as well as an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the animated series.
He has received nine Oscar and BAFTA nominations for his editing and sound work and is the author of the acclaimed
1995 book In the Blink of an Eye and Suddenly Something Clicked, which is published in May 2025 by Faber. They're both
related to Walter's career and the wider world of cinema.
VIC ARMSTRONG
Vic Armstrong is a legendary film and TV stuntman, stunt coordinator and director. He performed memorable stunts in
films such as An American Werewolf in London, Terry Gilliam's Brazil, Flash Gordon, The Long Good Friday, The Omen and the
Bond films Live and Let Die, You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. His work as a stunt coordinator includes
Thor, Mission: Impossible III, A Bridge Too Far, I Am Legend, Total Recall, Starship Troopers, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,
Spielberg's War of the Worlds and Empire of the Sun and three Bond films starring Pierce Brosnan. Vic was Harrison Ford's
stunt double in eleven films, including the first three Indiana Jones epics, as well as Return of the Jedi, Blade Runner and
Witness. He also doubled for Christopher Reeve in the first two Superman films and was also their stunt coordinator.
He was a second unit director on TV series' and films such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Penny Dreadful, Eddie
the Eagle, Gangs of New York, Tomorrow Never Dies, Last Action Hero, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Total Recall. Vic had
small acting parts in productions such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, Space: 1999 and Raiders of
the Lost Ark. His awards include a BAFTA for an Outstanding Contribution to Cinema, the only stuntman to receive one,
and an Oscar for Technical Achievement.
